CHRISTMAS PARTY
Star oi Napier Oddfellows The Star of Napier Lodge (No. 64) of the Independent Order of Oddfellows held the children's annual Christ-. mas party in the United Friendly Society 's Hall on Saturday afternoon, Fifty children of all ages up to 14 years were present, besides a large number of parents and friends. Games were played, and the children enjoyed themselves thorouglily, especially wlien •Father Christmas suddenly appeared to present eacli child with a gift. Balloons and paper liats were distributed. Tho' iee-creams were greatly welcomed by children and parents alike. Afternoon tea and calces wero later served to the adults. and before closing eacli child received a bag of swcets and faney biscuits. The hall was deeorated for the occasion. Mrs. E. Blundcll and Mrs. H. Owers are to be thanked for supplying the music. The Noble Grand, Mr. A. Gough, on behalf of the lodge, aecorded a liearty vote of thanks to all those who were present for helping to make the party a success.
