Press Association.)

(By Telegraph—

AUCKLAND, Last Night. Whether it should adhere strictly to the award or else oiake special provision for granting some of its workmen holidays on full Jiay caused the Auckland Electrie-Power Board to have a long discussion. It was stated that over 130 of the btard's outside staff were not, under their conditions of employment, entitled to such a holiday, and if the board decided to depart from the awards in force the concession of holidays would involve it in an expendituro of about £500. A motion that the men should be granted holidays on full pay from Boxing Day until January 4, and that the men who would have to be kept for emergency should receive an equivalent holiday later in the year, was carried by' six votes to five.
