Waipukurau Goes 'Down
The Waipukurau Bowling Club had an. "otf" day in the games played on Saturday in the final round of the Distriet Shield. Of the six matches contested the club lost 4 and won 2. Two rinks travelled to play at Port Ahuriri and Kia Toa and both lost. Of the fotn games played on the home green Clarkson's rink, playing agaianst Port Ahuriri, won 29 — 12 and McLean's against Omarunui by 16 — 13. Waipukurau: Hitchens, Murphy, Olark, McLean 16; Omarunui: Williamson, Smyrk, Jarvis, Wilkinson 13. Waipukurau: Taylor, Williams, Bradley, Haldane 17; Kia Toa: Kerr, Las sen, Adamson, Bissell 18.
