NEW YEAR BOWLING

H.B. Centre Receives Good Entries I DRAW FOR PLAY The Hawke's Bay Bowling Centre's New Year tournament has attraeted 38 entries. It -will be played on the Havelock North, Hastings, Kia Toa and Heretaunga greens on January 1 and 3, with the finals on January 4. All the clubs in the district, with the exception of National Service, are represented. Morning and afternoon teas will be provided on all the greens for which a small charge will be made, but players will have to make their own luncheon arrangements. Play is to commence each day at 9 a.m. sharp. Games 'are to be of 21 heads, or time limit of three hours. Given fine weather a very pleasurable tournament should result, as the best bowling talent in the district is engaged. Below is given full particulars of the draw: — SECTION A.
