KENMORE SCHOOL

Year's Work Ends with Break-iip Party Miss Ramsay's little pupils brought their year's work to a close -with a delightful little garden party, held at the school on Friday aflernoon. The children played singing games and entertained their mothers and friends with songs and recitations, which were much enjoyed. Three Christmas carols, "Away in a Manger," "Just a Little Baby," and "Why do the Bells of Christmas Ring?" were sung. The school-room was decorated for the occasion with lovely sweet peas, carnations, and gay balloons, wnicn werfe distributed to the children at the felose of the party. All were intere-sted in the various forms of hand-work set out— "The miniature home ahd grounds," the many different designs and pietures, and the dolls, dressed in dainty outnxs, each set cut from three pretty coloured handkerchiefs. These, with the gifts, made for mothers and fathers — bookmarks, blotters, Christmas cards, teapot holders and stands, novelty safetypin holders, and putty and cardbOard fcottages for matches — made a pleasing display, and showed what little iiligeis can do with some help and gUidance. The party tea was set "Ottt in the school-room, ihe, tables being attractive with vases of carnations, coloured serviettes, and the good things to eat. The older folk enjoyed a dainty afternoon tea, served on the lawn. With three cheers for Miss Ramsay from the pupils, and the thanks o'f the parents, a happy gathering dispersed.
