GIFT PARTIES FOR A BRIDE-TO-BE
Miss Olga Williamson, whose marnage to Mr Frank Taffee, of Marton, takes place this month, has been the guest of honour a1! a number of very jolly gift parties. One of her hostesses was Miss M. 'Atkins, whose bathroom gift evening was held on Tuesday and a very happy time was spent by the guests, each of whom brought a dainty gift for the bathroom. When these were opened ai'ter supper, Mr L. Tasker, on behalf of Miss Williamson, thanke-d tho hostess and guests for the jolly party. The guest of honour wore a lemcn floral frock with flowers at the neck, and the hostess chose a navy and white frock with a navy cloak. The guests were the Misses G. Ebbett, B. Hill, I. Anderson, I. Williamson, E. Bateman, M. Lewis, S. Hopkins; Messrs S. Atkins, D. Atkins, L. Tasker. N. Unverricht. N. Rummery and R. Wallace, A very jolly pantry gift afternoou was given by Miss Miriam Williams at her liome in St. Aubyn street, Hastings. The time passed very quickly with pleasant chatter and competitions, the winners of which were Miss V. Batt and Miss G. Coxon. After a delicious afternoon tea the bride-to-be opened her numerous presents, displaying a variety of necessaries for the pantry. Miss Williamson thanked Miss Williams and all present for their gifts. The hostess. who received tho guests, wore a dainty frock of stiffened voile, and Mrs Williams chose a figured frock with black background. The guest of honour wore green floral silk voile with a red spray, and Mrs j. S. Williamson wore .green and black figured crepe. Others invited were: — Mrs J. D. O'Keefe, Mrs W. Hewett, Mr Rodgers, Mrs A. Summersby, Mrs M. Smitli, Misses D. Coxon, E. and J. Bateman, I. Anderson,' V. and J. Batt, M. Downing, I. Williamson, R. Wright, D. Robertson, A. *Brimmer, M. Atkins, E. Boyer, E. Rodgers, Dianna Summersby and Ann Hewett. Mrs W. Hewett, was also a hostess at n party for Miss Williamson, and on this occasion each guest brought a usei'nl gift for the new home. Afternoon tea was served in the garden, and later Miss Williamson opened her gifts. She wore a smart frock in blue and white patterned in a daisy design. The liostes3 wore a frock of green and white erepe-de-chine. Others present were: Mrs J. S. Williamson, Mrs D. J. 0 'Keefc, Mrs A. Summersby, Mrs Holder, Mrs R. Hutchinson, and Mrs B. Lowe; Misses' F. and M. Holder, I. Williamson, D. Summersbv B. Lowe, A. Hewett, and R. Hewett.
