Kowtow, Lion Hunt, Br«nze Tulip and Pantan were unplaeed in the first division of the Novice Handicap, in which one of the worst smaehes seen at Randwick occurred, five horses, including Bronze Tulip, falling. Sweet Brigade was killed and Glenman was iniured and had to be destrovod. Three iockeys were sent to hosnital, none, however,- in a serious condition.
