* Mr G. J. Bromell, Waipukurau, attended the meeting last mght of the Waipukurau Borough Council for the first time since his recent illneas. Miss Joy Stevienson, of Brooklyn, Wellington, is spending a holiday in Waipukurau with Mr and Mrs H. Mut ray. ' Mrs P. B. Meredith and daughter, who have been spending a few days in Waipukurau with Mr and Mrs D. Urquhart, left yesterday for Tokomaru Bay. Inspeetor D. Cameron, who recently succeeded Inspeetor Fitzpatrick, as offioer in charge of the Napier police district, was in Waipukurau yesterday during the course of an offlcial visit to various parts of his district, including Waipawa, Porangahau, Ormondville, Takapau and Ongaonga.
