Interesting Match at Waipukurau

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. Considerable interest was taken in a crieket match played between a team of boys from the seeondary department of the Waipukurau High School and a team described as "The Veterans," which included a number of the town's best-known business men. The boys, assisted by a master, won on the first innings. Batting first the school team knockup 109, Kedgley's contribution being 64. "The Veterans" replied with 66, and on being given another ehance again made 66. As no second innings was played by the school team the match ended in victory for the boys on the first innings by 43 runs. Detailed scores are: — HIGH SCHOOL. First Innings.
