COSY THEATRE

"FAREWELL AGAIN." Based on a real news paragraph, 'Farwell Again," -which screens at the 3osy Theatre to-night, is one of the most unusual films ever produced. The paragraph related to an English troopship bringing back to Sonthampton a regiment returning from years of foreign service. As the ship neared England it wr lerrned that an einergency made it necessary to re-embark immediately. For six hours only, the troops were allowed leave at Southampton and the picture deals with the reactions of this news and the behaviour of various men and their relations during this period. Most of t; action takes place on the troopship Somersetshire, the Colonel, and his wife who is desperately ill, the handsome Captain iteed who, despite a fiancee at home, falls for the prettiest nurse who has ever seen troftpsliip service. It tells you about the comical Bugler, self-eonfessed bacheldr whoso wife waits at Southampton with a grim sentence f^r .r devil-may-care spouse, of jealousy-torn Carter. And many others, whose private lives you are soon to enjoy. A epecial feature of the supporting programme is the screening of the five Walt Disney Mickey Mouse-Silly Symphony cartoons which gained t^c Vre' ' mier awards of the M-otion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences. These are a show in themselves, and, combined with the screening of "Farewell Again," make a programme of unprecedented merit. These iive cartoone, from the year 1931 onwards give a clear illustration of the advances that have been made in cartoon technique, and provide an outstanding attraction.
