Public Meeting to Discuss the Future The attentiou of supporters of racing in the Waipawa district is directed to the fact that a public meeting will be field in the borough meeting room, Waipawa, on Friday evening at 8 o'clOck to discuss the prospects of the club resuming racing on its own course, on Patangata road. An agreement made with the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club to race on the Hastings course for three years with a view to raising sufficient money to pay off the elub's indebtedness, has expired, and although the objective has been reached and the club is now free of debt, a considerable amount or expenditure on the Patangata course will be necessary before racing can be resumed tliero, It is to discuss this position that the meeting ealled for Friday evening is being held, and il is hoped that everyone interested in the future of this oldestablished club will endeavour to b» present.
