Progressive Year's' Workj "I think members of tbis board j have every reason to feel aatisfied with a suceessful year's work in the eleetrification of the district," said the chairman, Mr. T. E. Crosse, in wishpjg board and staff members the eompliments of the season at tbe monthly meeting of the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board in Napier yesterday afternoon. "New lines for the year are little short of 70 miles, Mr. CrOsse continued, "and I think that has not been bettered by many boards in New Zealand. I hope that when we meet again in February, we will deeide upon a lot more new lines. ' ' Mr. W. Harvey, Teplying and Teciprocating the chairman's good wishes, said that the present year had been a more progressive one than the bo,ard had had for some time, althou\h it had not been the most progressive year in their history. He agreed with the chairman that this policy should be continued. Much of the board 's success in the period under revisw had been due to eflicient and tactful leadership.
