U.S. VESSELS TO STAY
Protection of Nationals (Received 15, 2.30 p.m.) SHANGHAI, Dec. 14. Admiral Yarnell declares that the United States naval vessels at present in Chinese waters will remain there to protect nationals. The body of Captain O. H. Carlson, of Connecticut, commander of the tanker Meian, was recovered from the river, also the unidentified body of a badly-burned foreigner.
