Hastings Miniature Ciub's Season Ends W, J. BURTON'S SUCCESS The 1937 programme of the Hastings Miniature Rifle Olub wa® terminated when the final round f# the Harvey Cup was contested. Generally the season has been most successful. MarksmansMp has been of a high Standard, members have maintained the attendance to a satisfactory number at all club fixture>s, and compelitTon has been particularly close in all departments of the programme. With a flne average of 98.45 over the twenty-five official matches, W, J. Burton sueceeded in winning all the major competitions— the club championship, the4, liandicap aggregate, the Charlton trophy (for the highest scorer over the last fifteen shoots of the season) and the A grade ladder-badge. Close competition resulted in the contest for the Macovini Cup, which was allotted to the junior member who compiled the highest total of fifteen handicap scores. The winner was D. Dunn, who has shown splendid improvement in the last stages of the season. D. Woon (second) and P. Dunn (third) Have also shot extremely well, finishing close to the winner. The P. L. Bone Cup, awarded to the B grade champion, resulted in an easy win for M. J. Lnsh, who put up creditable performanees throughout. Lush also sueceeded in winning the B grade ladder-badge. The Harvey Cup, which was competed for by both grades over the final three official shoots, was won by P. Algar (296.49), a B grade member who has (shown considerable improvement recently. Members are notified that a suitable function will be arranged for the presentation of trophies some time after the Christmas holidays. FolJowing are the results in detail: — • HAKVEY CUP.
