Onehunga Woollen Mills NEGOTIATIONS BEGUN

AUCKLAND, Last Night., After a week of idleness caused by the strike of employees in sympathy with the grievances of girls in the weaving seetion, work was resumed at the Onehunga woollen mills to-day. Soon after the resumption of work negotiations were opened with the management by the union concerning the matter in dispute, but it is gathered that little, if any, progress was made and so proceedings were adjourned until to-morrow. Throughout the trouble the company had intimated that it was prepared to discuss the grievances with representatives of the employees provided work was first resumed. The comp'any did not deviate in any way from that positi!on, the workers returning on the terms as stated. It is stated that Mr J. Walsh, president of the New Zealand Waterside Workers' Federation, acting for the Government, interested himelf in the question of abandoning of the strike. A
