HASTINGS SCOTS' SOCIETY

The monthly mee'ting of the Hastings Scots Society was held recently, the ehief presiding over a good attend anee of chieftains and councillorg. After the eompletion of the usual business preliminary arrangements werp made for the holding of Burns' Night on Jannary 25. It was decided that the supper would be held in the H.B. Farmers' tea-rooms, at which the Hon. Adam Hamilton will be the speaker.. The dance to follow will be held in the Oddfellows' hall. It was also reported that the matter of uniforms for the Pipe Band was on the way. the council and players having decjded to have as much of the uniform as possible made in New Zealand.
