WAIPAWA CLUB

Despite a light shower wiiich hel6 up play for some 15 mlnutes, a most enjoyable afternoon was spent on the Waipawa bowling green on Saturday afternoon, the games played resulting as follows: — Barrie, Walker 29; Holt, Kingston 22. Harwood, Hawke, Clark, 27; Niesen, Harker, Jull 13. Carne, Russell, Wallace 22; Hart, Petherick, Chisliolm 16. The club was also represented by a rink against the Manawatu bowlers at Napier, and one rink journeyed to Waipukurau to play for the Central H.B. Buttons. The Brewer Buttons have again changed hands, a challenge by Mclntosh and Miller having been successful over the holders, Dunkin and Patterson by 15 to 10.
