Members were treated to a very fast green on Saturday, and play generally was a big i. provement on recent games. Six games ivere played ivith the following results: — Butcher, Simmondr, H. Ayling, F. Ayling 21; Spencer, J. P. Thompson, Shepherd, Barr 18. Wliite, Timms, Depon, Dadson 28; L. Williams, Lewis, Mellor, Sinclair 12. Girvan, O'Neill, Gibson, Burt 24; Tonkin, Elmes, Frater, C. Williams 17. Kelly, Davis, Findlay, Deakin 21; McKechnie, Bishop, J. W. Thompson, Allan 14. Bryne, Tombs, Lee, Benton 22; Eddy, Perrott, S. F. Ayling, Newbegin 13. Shepnard, Andrews 31; Briasco, Russell 11.* Benton and Shepherd will represent Wairere in the next game to be played with tho Napier Club for the MeLennau Cup. Owing to the approach of the holidays, the Heretaunga Club has decided to cancel the visit to Wairere Club next Thursday but hope to make the journey early in January.
