The Minister of War (Senor Prieto) declares that the insurgents are dailj> receiving great quantities of war materials for use in a concerted olfensive, but that the Republie is confident of the outcome. The San Sebastian correspondent oi The Tipies says that Prince Xavier Bourbon de Parma, the provisional Carlist leader, called on the rebel leader, General Franco, and declared his unswerving allegiance to the Nationalists, This is the first contact, but it is too early to say whether the dynastic rift is healed, though it is assumed that the hatchet will remain buried till the comraon enemy has been beaten to his knees.
