School-Children's Annual Fancy-Dress Ball LIST OF COSTUMES TKe Puketapu hall presented a colourful and happy scene last night . when. the annual school-children 's faney-dress ball was held. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the floor, the music heing supplied by the Buffs Orchesfcra. The evening opened with the Grand March, in which the children took part. Supper -was served by the ladies and was done full justiee to by the ( children. Later in the evening the floor was occupied by adults and a pleasant time was spent by all. The prize-winners for the costiames were as follow: — Senior girls, Nancy Ellison 1, Betty Orr 2; senior boys, Noel Herries 1, Shirley Eearn 2; junior girls, Nola Hayes 1, Eleanor Ellison 2; junior boys, Stewart Hayes 1, Boss Strachan 2; under school age, Verna Hayes, Margaret Boyde and Colm Straehan.
