WELLINGTON, This Day. The weather is fine for tlie New Zealand trial to decide the seleftion of the amateur athletie team to take part /n the Empire Games. Th- track is inclined to be a little heavy after overnight rain. Hawke's Bay representatives intimated this morning that they were all in good form and foeling fiit. Later: Quinn (Hawke's Bay-Poverty Bay) won the IPO yards in lOsecs. There was a following wind. Boot won the 880 yards. The first heat of the 120 hurdles was won by Bowie (Auckland) in 15 l-5secs. and the second heat was won by Sharpley (H.B.-P.B.) in 15secs,
