Mr H. L. Harker, of Wairoa, who has been visiting Wellington, returned home by car from Napier to-day. Mr L. Eeisterer, Government apiary instructor at Hastings, was yesterday inangurated as a member of the Hastings Kotary Club. Mr E. Beatsoii, Auckland, has beep appointed manager of the Massey College dairy factory, in succession to Mr J. W. Soutb, whf> is now attached to the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture in Auckland. Mr J. M. Stewart, of the University of Sydney, son of Mr W. Stewart, Valuer-General, has been successful in obtaining his degree in veterinary science. He is, expected in Wellington before Christmas. Captain Dai Evans, until recently chief accountant for the Khodesian Railways, arrived at Auckland by ihe Dutch steamer Van Kees from the East, He intends to spend some weeks in New Zealand Qn a' fishing holiday. 9 Mr N. S. Falla, ehairman and man-aging-director of the Union Steam Ship Company, wlio has been visiting Britain and the United States, is a passe/ugor by the Niagara, due at Auckland from Yaneouver on Monday. He is accompanied by Mrs Falla. Mr G. H. Bourne, manager of the Bank of New South Wales in Christchurch for the past 18 months, has received notice of his transfer to Queonsland. He will be succeeded in Christchurch by Mr E. M. Wolfe, from onq of the Sydney branches. Mr E. F. Park, formerly of the Hastings branch of the Union Bank of Australasia, and who has beeh for a number of years manager of the Otorohanga, Auckland, branch, is to retire at the end of the year. Mr Park intends to take up residence agaln in Hastings.
