Firmer Tone Experienced LIGHT YARDING YESTERDAY

PALMERSTON N., Thio Day. Ofl'erings in all sections at the Feilding live stock sale yesterday were on the light side and perhaps on this account tho market firmed a little. There was little movement in the fat sheep section where operations were influenced by the new season's schedule. If anything, ewes registered a slight improvement, the bulk "oi tne tousiness being done at round about 19s. In the store sheep section the offering was made up of 2th wethers which found the market active and fully firm. The best sale was at 23s lOd. The beef market was quite flrm with a recovery on the recent downward trend. Store cattle and dairy lines sold fully up to late rates. ■ An entry of just under 500 fat sheep was offered buyeTs and the selling was on a Slightly firmer tone as a result of the activities of outside operators. The offering was made up of 3 lambs, 70 wethers, 200 hoggets and close on 200 ewes. _ j
