School Radio Fund. The radio fund being raised for th& Installation of w:ireless in the new Waipawa- school now stands at £35 16/5. Mrs • Eamlose presided at the monthly meeting of the Wairoa branch of the Womea'a Division of ' the Farmers' Union. There was a large attendance of .members. Mrs Beckett gave an interesting demonstration on icing the Christmas cake, and was accorded a vote of - thanks. The competition on best arranged flowers in a bakmg powder tin, drew a large number of competitors and the results were: — Mrs 'Compton 1, Mrs J. McDonald 2, Mrs E. Cowan 3. Mrs Murray won . the monthly travelling shilling competition. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Murray, J. McDonald and Miss Walker.
