Dual Leadership in Hastings Series TWO OUTRIGHT kWINS Dual leadership was established in the mid-week cricket competition in Hastings yesterday afternoon when the , first series of games of the second round. of the club competition were completed. Both games ended in outright wins, Heretaunga defeating the hitherto leaders by an innings and 52 runs, while United defeated Methodist. United and !West End now lead ihe competition . with 12 points ' each. . Play was over early yesterday afternoon, and .the scoring generally jvas on tlxe low side, though several batsmen • made quite good contributions. Bowlers, however, • were in ■ the ascendancy and there were some excellent averages recorded. Details of tho games are as follow: — Heretaunga v. west End.
