MARATHON TRIAL

Napier Runner's Attempt A. Hugkes, Napier 's Marathon runner will on Thursday evening next make an attempt to put up such time for tlie 20 miles' run as will give him some chance of iuclusion in the New Zealand team for the Empire Games. The Empire Games Council has iixecl two hours as being the maximum time allowed, and Hughes will make an endeavour to beat this time. The finish of the trial will be on McLean Park during the progress of the Napier Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club's evening sports meeting.
