INTER-SCHOOL SWIMMING
Parkvale y. Havelock North The first inter-school swimming carnival at the Parkvale baths was conducted Jast evening when, under the direction of Mr E. Eiley, a team from the Havelock North School competed' with' Parkvale School representatives. There was an exceptionally big attendance and a first-rate night 's sporting entertainment was provi.de.d. Apart from the visiting school children, a team of swimmers from tho Havelock North Swimming Club provided an exhibition that was greatly appreciated. During the evening Mr J. Stickland, chairman of the Parkvale School Conv mittee, thanked Mr Eiley and the Havelock North ' children for their generous co-operation and assured them that the Parkvale children were eagerly anticipating the refourn visit.
