The Lahour Oppositiou tabled a series of amendments with the object of reduring the amount to £44,350,000, safeguarding tlie wage standards of mine workers, securing that part of the surplus revenue should be used as a nucleus of a pension rund for mine workerSj and prptecting miners who may lose employment as a result of the scheme
