British Mining Royalties x
(Received 10, 12.30 p.m.) RHGBY, Dec. 9.The Government Bill to secure unification of mining royalties under State control by the payment of £66,450,000 as compensation to royaltj'-owners was furtlier considered by the House of Commons, and progress wag made with some of over 120 amendments. The Lahour Oppositiou tabled a series of amendments with the object of reduring the amount to £44,350,000, safeguarding tlie wage standards of mine workers, securing that part of the surplus revenue should be used as a nucleus of a pension rund for mine workerSj and prptecting miners who may lose employment as a result of the scheme
