HEAVY STOCK LOSSES
Foot-and-Mouth Disease in France and Belgium (Received 10, 10.40 a.m.) BRUSSELS, Dec. 9. Livestock losses from foot-and-mouth disease are estimated at £2,000,000. Agricuikiral members of Parliament urge the Government to compensate owners and also provide financial credits for the worst sufferers. A Paris message says that foot-and-mouth is raging throughout France. In the Bas Rhine province alone 9888 farms and 43,310 c.attle are. infeeted. The total losses are £533,000.
