A beautiful corner of the Wairoa-Waikare main road, one of the most interesting sections of this popular East Coast motor route. It shows a small fall of unusual type, in which the water passes over large slabs of rock beside the road. The rocks are covered by only an inch or so of water, when all goes through a small culvert under. the -main road, but the effect is lace-like and pleasing.
