QUIET WEDDING HELD IN HAVELOCK NORTH

DREW— RUSSELL A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Havelock North, recently, when Maisie, only daughter of Mrs and the late Mr R. W. Russell, of Havelock North, was married to "William Morris (Frank), only son of Mr and Mrs E. A. Drew, of Napier. The Rev. S. F. N, Waymouth oJlkby the choir, Major Oldham pre'siding at the organ. The bride, who was given aw'ay by her uncle, Mr W. Taylor, looked charming in a frock of ivorine magauza silk, trimmed with diamante and satin flowers, the bodice being of cowl, design with long tight-litting sleeves ouding in a pomt above the wrist. The cream net veil was of double train design, beautifully hand-embroidered, and was seeured by a bandeau of diamante and orange blossom. , She carried a beautiful shower beuquet of assorted lilies. orange blossom and eampanulas together with maidenhair fern. The frock and veil were made and ,^mbroidered by the bridegroom's mother. The bridesmaid, Miss ' Ida Coombe, wore oyster georgette over cherry satin. The frock was desighed' with a cowl front and sleeves puffed at the shoulder and bodice trimmed with tiny buttons at the back. A ch,erry velvet belt with georgette buckle marked the waistline and her stravv hat trimmed with cherry velvet ' and flowers was worn. She carried a beuquet of mixed flowers to tone. The tluties of best man were ably carried out by Mr B. Bastion. After the ceremony a dainty morning tea was served under tbe trees on the lawn at the home of the bride 's mother, the gathering being confined to intimate friends and relatives. Mrs Russell welcomed her guests \Vearing a gown of black and white iigured silk, and coat of black waterwave erepe-de-chine. The hat was of black straw, trimmed with white floAvers, and she carried a poey of mixed blooms. The bridegroom's mother was attirect in a navy blue silk frock, of plain design, relieved at the neckiine by a scarf ot' navy and white maroeain.
