Members of the Customs Department staff and of the shipping agents ' firms met recently Mr T. M. Courtney, of the Customs staff, who leaves to-day on trausfer to Auckland. Two preseutatio'ns were made to Mr Courtney, oue ficm.the Customs staff, for whom Mr C.-O. .Eyre made the presentation, and oue from the.agehts and shipping stafffi of the Mercantile firms, for whom Mr A. R. Goss was spokesman.
