After a questionnaire by th© British Board oi Film Censors, tlie Cinema Ubristian Councjl and the Public Morality Council held a conference under tbe ohairmansbip of tbe Bisbop of Southwark, Dr. R. G. Parsons, and aareed tbat Bible stories in films ahould be told in Biblical or congruov language and that the film censors sliould not depart from the principle of not certifying for exhibition any representation of tbe figure of Christ. - Some members favoured tbe ropreBentation of Christ in films suitable for exhibition in churches and produced under religious auspices. The introduction of the voice of Christ, it was urged, could not necessarily be ruled out provided the words were those used in the Gospels.
