TE KUITI, Last Nigbt. After being burnt in a fire in her homa at Kaeaea, uear Aria, last night, Mrs Emily. Parkes, wife of Mr P, S. Parkes, was admitted to bospital in tbe early hours of this niorning dangerously ill and she later died. The house eaught fire last night when hdr husband was a^vay, and Mrs Parkes and the tlirec young children eseaped in their night attire. Evidently under the impression that one of the children was still in the house, Mrs Parkes rushed ,ba;k into the burning dwelling, where her .night clothing eaught fire. The four' made their way to a neighbour's house, and Mrs Parkes was brouLit inte To T'uiti Hospital early this morning.
