SHEEP FOR AUSTRALIA

Stud Ryelands Exported from Hawke?s Bay An important shipment of stud Byeland sheep from the stud of E. Averill and Son, "Echills," Kereru, has been made to Australia. The shipment Which consists of 27 two-tooth ewes and two two-tooth rams, was sent to the order of two well-known breedevs, Keele and Williams, of Geelong, Victoria. The sheep are particularly fine types of the breed, which is becoming rapidly popular in Australia. These two Australian breeders recently made a tour of New Zealand and finally made their selection from the "Echills." stud. The shipment was arrapged through the stock department of Dalgety and Co., Hastings.
