"A RADIO DREAM"
Popular Performance By 2ZL Children's Party ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME The popularity of the weekly children 's sessions from 2ZL Hastings was reflected in the attendance at a performance in the M-unicipal Theatre, Hastings, last evening, presented by Uncle Ed and Aunt Gwen with a large number of the regular performers at the session. The revue, "A Radio Dream," attracted a fine attendance, which thoroughly enjoyed every item on the programme presented. The revue was given in ai.d of the Hastings division of the St. - John Ambulance Brigade, and for this reason received additional support from the public. Oomplete totals of the sale of tickets are not yet available, but it is at present anticipated that the funds of the division will benefit by at least £20 from the show. A long and varied programme was presented, comprising a wide range of songs and instrumental items by children( well-knowrn to the listening public through their work over the air, together with several short humorous sketches that proved entertaining and popular. Frequent prolonged applause and requests for encores ivere made by the audience, giving an indication of their enjoyment of the performance.
