OTANE TEAM AT HASTINGS.

Playing Hastings High School at Hastings on Saturday, the Otane cricket team was defeated by an innings and 57 runs. Otane, batting first, could make only 21, the bowling of Maaka (6 for 12) and McDowell (3 for 8) completely demoralising the batsmen. Higli School made 178, McDowell compiling 53, Maaka 46 and Davis 20. In their second innings Otane made 100, Drinkrow (32), Curly (22), Higgs (20), and Harbottle (14) doing best. Drinkrow secured 6 Hastings wiekets for 39 runs.
