WELLINGTON, Last Night. The legislation remaining to be .dealt with before the end of the present kalf of the session was outlined by tlie Prime Minister, 1 the Rt. Hon. M. J . Savage, in an interview this ovening. Mr Savage made it clear that the House would rise hy Friday of this weelc, and stated that if some t)f the less important Bills had not been- passed by then they would have to wait until the House resumed early in the New Year. The Prime Minister said that the Appropriation Bill would he introduced to-morrow night and dealt with in conjunetion with the Supplementary Estimates. The State Advances Corporation Amendment Bill would make an early appearance, its purpose being to make a small alteration to the Act with reference to housing. Another Bill would provide for the co-ordination of the administration of the two agricultural colleges, Massey and Lincoln, and there would possibly be another eonfirming the agreement between the Government and the farmers with regard to farm labour. There would also he a Bill confinning the regulations made under the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act. It was possible that a measure would be* introduced making it necessary for all dog-owners to be provided with a quantity of hydatids antidote. "We will have a Bill dealing with the acquisition of land for the purpose of a legislative and administrative centre around Parliament Buildings," Mr Savage said. "Then we will have a measure making it clear that employers will not have to pay for the King's Birthday twice in one year. Thsre will also be a health Bill, with speeial reference to hospitals, and a Bill dealing with the constitution of Greymouth Harbour Board, but it is possible' that those two will not be passed before the recess. There are several local Bills on the order paper, as well as the Local Legislation Bill, which validates the expenditure aiid various transactions of local bodies," The Prime Minister indicated that before the session closed this week he would announce the date of the resumption of Parliament in the New Year.
