Children's Radio Sessions
DISGUSTED.
Sir, — " Appreciation " in his letter saye that the public should recogmso that the studio at 2ZL was merely an ordinary sitting-room and the children paeked the xoom, passages, windows, and even the lawn, Well, he has made a good case fnr the criticism against the uncalled-for and disparaging remarks concerning the old studio. Surely it would have been more taetful if comment on the change had been avoided. How many citizens of this town would give their sitting-room, windows, etc., for the purpose of a children's studio, and how would they like to have it broadcast, after giving it without any ehargo whatever, that the room was small and unsuitable? It ie also an undoubted fact that the sessions are not up to the same standard as they were a year ago. I consider that the criticism of this childrens' sessions has been f air and should be very helpful to Uncle Ed in the new studio. " ' The Director of Broadcasting certainly gave permission for the sessions to be carried on by land line throug!*' 2ZH, Napier, but I am equally eertain that permission was not given to misuse that privilege ,by slighting refer j ences to the studio of station 2ZL, which Mr Holden has been compelled to close down. In conclusion, I hope that too much time will not be nsed up at Monday's children's session by Uncle Ed in ©xplanation of two weeks broadcast.— Yours. etc.,
