Press Association.)
(By Telegraph—
AUCKLAND, This Day. Eggs and other missiles were thrown by a gang of larrikins at members of the Onehungt citizens' Band during a recital yesterday afternoon.( Though much of the rubbish landed on the roof of the rotunda, some reached their objective and the performance was spoiled. "In forty ye~rs' band experience I have never witnessed such a stupid occurrence," said Mr A. Leatherby, the bandmaster, this morning. "If bandsmen give their time and effort voluntarily, they should have the co-operation of the public."
