The meeting decided to ask the H.B A. and P. Society, when reviewjng ttie request of the defence authorities fo* the use of the Tomoana shQwgrounds, to give favourable consideration to the proposal, provjded fnat a full measuro of protection from damage to equipment and grounds was assured. It was felt that, in having a camp near to the main centres 'of a provinco, great.er public interost was created and should achieve better results with les* expenditure for travelling. Any disadvantages that might exist, it was considered, could be minimised by efficient control, and would be more than offset 1 by; the increased business resultjng.
