YEARLING SALES

The order in which the various lots will be offered at the national yearling saies at Trentham was fixed by ballot at-.the office.of the Wellington Racing Club recently. AJtogether 170 yearlings will be offered, the largest drafft (12) being submitted by Mr. 'G. M. Ourrie, of Wanganui. Half of them are by Limond, four by Ringmaster. and two by Posterity. Mr. ,T. HLowry, Hastings, has ten, six by Gascony, two by Bulandshar, one by Iliad and oue by Night Raid. Mr. F. J3. Donnelly..Hastings; nine> cight bv Lord Quex and the other -by Tidal.' Mr. A. E. Preston (Ohau) has a simij'ai number by Defoe, Mr. J. Porter, of Akaroa, seven, four by Myosolis, and thvee by Martarma. The Elderslie Stud (Oamaru), Mr. W. C. Clark (Gisborne''., Mr. G. A. Kain (Oriri), Mr. T. E. Hide (Seadown), and Mr. Donald Grant (Timaru) each have six. The first•named company has three by Ilaid, two by Night Raid, ."and ono by Bulandshar. Mr. Kain's entries are all by Lord War? den, while Mr. Claris 's representatives are by Kincardine apd Skycracker. Mr Hide has three by Lord Warden, two bv Night'march, and one by Ni'ght Raid, while Mr. Grant has five by Pink Coat and one by Paladin. Foxbridge, who is standing at the Trelawey Stud, Cambridge, also has six yearlings. Other sires represented are Hunting Song, Inflation, Siegfried, Croupier, Gainscourt, Bambury, Yalkyrian, Colossus, Leighon, Mullaboden, Royden, Philamor, Wherikp, Acre, Lysander, Surveyor, Tractor, Lackham and Cricket Bat, while the successful Beau Pere has eight yearlings. This is the first time that the progeny of Foxbridge, ' Ringmaster, Bulandshar, Nightly, Inflation, Croupier, Kincardine, Skycracker, Leighon and Cricket Bat have been offered.
