BBISBANE.— Dr. Harold Thompson, wbo for six years was director of fisheries in Newfoundland and is now in cbarge of tbe Australian fisberies investigations, bas' been in Queensland * giving atteution to tbe questiqn of locating new fishing grounds and tp devising tbe efficient metbods of exploiting tbem.
