i Horace Lindrum, the young Australian— nephew of the great Walter — came within a black of breaking the world's snooker record break at Leeds last month. After his opponent, Sidney Smith, of Doncaster, had failed to score, Lindrum potted all the reds and coloured ball: until, when only the black remaining, the break stood at 130.
