Tiger Moths and Baffins For New Zealand DESPATCH FROM BRITAIN

LONDON, Nov. 6. Two of the seven Tiger Moths ordered from De Havilland Aircraft Cohipany, Limited, by the New #ea!anrl Government for the prineipal clubs in ifce Dominion are expectod to be ready for shipment early in December. company's aerodrome at Hatfield. They are all powered by Gipsy Major 1. 130 b.p. engines and embody the improvements suggested by the world-wide use of some 5000 Moth aeroplanes. They afe suitable for instructional and blind flyiflg and are fine aerobatic and blind being especially equippedwith provision for aerobatic barness. They are also fitted with Handley Page slet gear. Another hatch, of BafBns, ordered for delivery to the New Zealand Air Porce at Hobsonville, will also be shipped shortly. A number were sent to the Dominion last imonth. These biplanes have been bought from the British Air Force. They have been used in this country for fleet reconnaissanCe work, and are arranged for torpedo dropping and bomhing. Fiying olubs in New Zealand owning Tiger Moths may be interested to know that 600 of them are uSed by fiying olubs and military schools scattered throughout the world. The type has been chosen by the Hoyal Air Force, by a large number of foreign Governments. by the majority of reserve schools in England, and by numeroiiR clubs.
