SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Havelock North's Successful Night A most successful carnival was held on Wednesday evening by the Havelock North Swimming Club, and as a result, a useful sum will be added to the Domain Pavilion Building Fund. The large gallery of spectators was treated to some splendid sport, close flnishes being the order of the night. The novelty events were well reeeived and the. polo match between teams representing Mahora and Havelock North provided an exeiting finish to a good night's entertainment. Prior to the senior polo game, a curtain-raiser was played between two junior teams, the surprisingly good form and knowledge of the game displayed by the lads being a eredit to their coach, Mr Sloan Miller.
