Napier Swimming Club Although nearly all the events on thC programme for the Napier Swimming Club's opening carnival of the seas'oa, were set down to be run in heats, scratchings were heavy, so that in most cases heats were dispensed with. Edea Club, Auckland. O 'Connor and Colsw mbre-Williams finished in that order, both ahead of the Napier man, who was beaten on the • touch for second place.
