ONE FROST RECORDED
Tbere were sis rainy days in Hast- ! ings last month and the total rainfall was 1.56 inches, compared witb 1.91 inches for November of last year. The total rain, for the II months of tbe year is 19.93' inebes. Details of the montb's weather recordings, as supplied by Mr. H. NelsonPowle^, Government meteorological observer at Cornwall Park, Hastings, are as follow: — November 12, ,04in., 13th. ,39in.; 14th. .I9in.; 19th., ,22in.; 24th./ .68in.; 25tb., .04in.; total, 1.56in. The highest maximum temperature, in the screen, was 80.2 degress, the mean being 71.4 degrees. The lowest minimum, in. the. screen was 37 degrees, the mean being 46.4 degrees; wbile ou the grass the lowest recording was 25 degrees. and the inean grass low minimum was 39.3 degrees. The range of temperature for the month was 25 degrees, the average temperature being 58.54 degrees. There was* one frost only during November., and that was of 5.3 degrees. Prevailing winds were N.N.E. on nine days, N.N.W. on three days, S on 10 days and S.W. on eight days.
