WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Government' s decision to grant £27,000 from the vote of the Department of Agriculture towards the upkeep of Massey and Canterbury .Agricultural Colleges was announced to-day by the Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture. ; The Minister said that there appeared to be some misapprehension of tbe Government's decision, and one statement in tbe Press had indicated that £26,000 was being provided out of the department's vote for Canterbury Agricultural College alone. The total allocation for tbe two colleges was £27,000 and. the details of its apportionment would be set out in tbe Supplementary Estimates.
