The Australian Associated Press understands that Whitehall considers the chief value of the British-French talk? is that they indicated to the world that there is no imminent danger of war and wero a thorough autidote to what has become known as "international jitters." The two Wegtern democracies have shown that they want peace and are prepared to make'every contribution towards peace and to be conciliatory but firm. Full agreement on the- line of policy was reached On all questions, including in addition to those stated in the offi-, cial communique, relations with Italy, the position of the Balkans, the North African problem and Busgia.
